Stay tuned

Holy crap! I didn’t know it was so damn hard to find a nice outfit for a male now-a-days. Pants, jacket, shirt, and tie. How hard can it be right? Sure the pants were easy. I found a really nice pair at Banana Republic on sale. They are really nice. But damn it if finding a jacket didn’t make me want to rip my hair out and make a noose out of it to hang myself. If it fit me (hardly any did), it was $200. If it was reasonably priced (hardly any were), it didn’t fit me. And if there was one I liked that was reasonably priced, they didn’t have my size. What the hell? I went to Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Sears, Macy’s, Ross, Savers, and yes, I even walked into Abercrombie & Fitch. After failing miserably the first night we went out a second night to Pearlridge mall and found a nice jacket that fit and was reasonably priced. Whew. Finally. We even found a small suit for Gavin. And Mary and Holly found dresses fairly easily of course. There are tons of variety and color and styles and prices for women. Men only get one thing, only different prices. Grrrr. Oh well. Now we all have nice dresswear for the holidays and we are ready for the Nutcracker tomorrow. I actually have off from work on Gavin’s birthday and Holly’s graduation. How awesome. But it looks like I will have to work on Christmas day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. Bummer. It’s not final, but that is how it is looking for now. On the plus side, I am almost done with the theatre business. Holly is all ready to start work on Jan 3rd and tomorrow I apply for health insurance which, once accepted, will cancel my theatre insurance, which will mean there is no reason for me to be working here. What a relief. So I’m thinking that my last day at the theatre will be around Feb 1st. What music to my ears. Anyway, pictures of Gavin’s birthday to come. Stay tuned.

That’s not a cat!

Ok. A few days ago we had to take our cat Xebo to the vet due to what we know now to be an ear infection. When we busted out the cat carrier it attracted some other curious creature.

It really was for the cat. Don’t go callin’ Child Protection Agency on us now. C’mon, he was really funny. He crawled all up in it and said, “Close it Da”. How could we refuse. It is just too funny.

At the party.

In my previous post, I mentioned some optional rum. Well, this option was opted by none other than my wife. Here are a few pictures taken of her. Doesn’t she look skinny?

(pretending to know what the hell is going on in the movie:)

And here is a picture she took of me. How handsome.

Farewell Mat and Melody

Last night I ditched work and headed to meet Holly and Yuri and Mat and Melody for a little farewell get-together. We watched “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”. A very interesting movie. We also ate pizza, hummus and pita chips, black bean brownies, doritos, and cheetos. Then for drink, we had eggnog (optional rum), beer, and coke (optional rum). It was a nice evening.

Keep in touch, farewell, and stay happy:
