What a week.

Wow, what a week. This week Holly is on vacation from school and work. We thought this was going to be a great relaxing week. So far we have been about 80% wrong. Nothing seems go be going quite right. The most promising events being a mostly wonderful trip to Gordon Biersch and a soothing romp in the bedroom. On Monday when we were supposed to go to open mic night at Volcano Joe’s, we ended up hauling a newer (than the one we currently own) fridge from our neighbors house to our kitchen and pulling out the old one and cleaning out loads of cockroach eggs from the floor behind the old fridge.

Old  (Holly looks good as well)

Newish (Happy Mary)

On Tuesday things were ok. The day started out like most days. Holly and Mary went out with Gavin to do errands and what not. We had planned on going to Gordon Biersch today. But we also are supposed to be getting rid of the fridge today. Haul it to the Salvation Army or to the Dump. Whichever was easier. Holly and Mary didn’t get back home until around 2:30 or so in the pm. Not too late I supposed, but it would take us at least 2 1/2 – 3 hours to take care of the fridge. Still not too bad I suppose, but not my idea of a great afternoon. But it has to get done. Then things started to look up. The person who we were supposed to borrow the truck from was not home. This means we can’t dump the fridge. So it was decided to skip the fridge today and go drink beer. Yes. Finally. But where’s Xebo? Crap! He seems to be outside. He hid from us for until almost 5pm. Damn that cat. Then I got a call from the theatre. The manager on duty is sick. Sigh. I don’t want to work. I want to drink beer. So I told him that I would come in afterwards at around 9:30. That removes the nice thought of another pleasant romp in the bedroom. Damn again! Xebo finally came back and we were off to Gordon Biersch. Everything was good. There was beer and garlic fries a plenty. MMmmmm. What I feared was the ride home. And I was right. We took a wrong turn and set Mary off on a fit again. Every time Holly drives anywhere. Geez. Then Holly had a bit of a panic attack on the Pali (who could blame her at this point) and we pulled over to calm down a bit. The rest of the ride home was pretty quiet. I know I didn’t want to say anything. Mary eventually closed her eyes in the back seat along with Gavin. At least I had a few beers in me at that point. And when I got home, I had another. Now I’m at work, buzzed and not wanting to be here, but rather at home with my wife. Will we ever get to spend more than 30 minutes alone other than watching a movie? (if we didn’t see a movie, we would be at home where we would not be alone). I sure hope to God that the rest of the week is better. Cause if it keeps going downhill, I will freak out and take Holly and Gavin and run away to somewhere. This is going to be a long semester.

Unbelievable!

Damn. Our Janitor (ex-janitor) is going to try to fight us. Saying that I was unfair to fire her after she allowed some stranger into the theatre by himself so he can clock her in/out and do her job along with doing strange perverted things in the ladies bathroom with the door locked and the company tv/vcr combo. Hmmm. I don’t think so. Now I have to meet with her and the union tomorrow at 3 to discuss all of this with the union so they can fight for her to keep her job. Yay. I’m so excited. Can’t you just see the excitement in the text.

News for the day.

Here is yet another blog. S.O. opened the theatre yesterday for the phone people, only to discover some strange local guy in the ladies bathroom with the door closed and an extension cord running from the lobby into the bathroom with a tv monitor on the other side of it. Needless to say this creeped her out big time. This strange local guy claims to be our janitors brother. Our janitor is already on thin ice with us and now she has broken through the ice and freezing herself cold. I am not about to rescue her either. Besides the fact that she is massively overweight and I could not possibly lift her out of the freezing water, I don’t want to. I shall be glad to be rid of her. Oh, by the way, she was clocked in when this happened. Which is funny because she was no where to be found. Yeah, so she is fired. So fired. Now I have all kinds of paperwork to do. I also have to deal with the union. And that in itself sucks. That is my news for the day.

There you have it.

In response to a recent post, I realized that I also do not have a link to tempestpilot’s blog. So I have included next to my profile a link to her blog. It is completely up to her to decided if there is to be a link to my blog on hers. Kind of strange that I never noticed that our blogs were never linked. At the same time, I didn’t know that anyone that was reading hers, was that interested in reading mine. After all, hers is much more interesting to read. At any rate, there you have it.
