HOT! HOT! Sizzle! Sizzle!

I awoke this morning to a beautiful thing this morning. Naturally it was Holly with the morning light on her skin as she shuffled through laundry to find a pair of clean jeans. Gavin came rushing in and asked me if I was going with them to get a hair cut. Of course I would. So I hopped out of bed and threw on some clothes. We headed out the door as a happy little family up to the shopping center to get haircuts for Gavin and Holly. After purchasing a cinnamon roll and a portuguese sausage and egg bento, we headed to the Supercuts where Holly plopped up in a chair. Gavin and I went out to the sidewalk and knarfed our breakfast. Gavin was very excited to be getting a hair cut. He kept peeking in the window and saying, “Mom get haircut. Me too.” So we wrapped up eating and headed in just in time for Holly to get up out of the chair and whip her hair around just like in the movies. She was sooooooo HOT! Then Gavin stepped into the chair. He was so good. He looked where he was supposed to and smiled and turned on the buzzer and giggled muttering, “It tickles!”. So cute. It was very nice. So here are some pictures of their awesome haircuts. Doesn’t Holly look HOT!?

Arggg!

Hey there,
It’s Nov 3rd and I’m finally updating my blog (as you can clearly see). I had my first Halloween with Gavin. It was awesome. I need to update our photo album so you can see pictures. I had a super great Halloween. Gavin and I were both pirates. Arrrg! Holly made a very good wench. A few wenches actually. She was a candy wench, a milk wench, and a beer wench. We ate lots of chocolate. We drank some Pumpkin Ale. We danced and waved swords. We pilaged and plundered. 😉 It was great. Gavin and I did the Trick or Treating while the wench handed out candy. We saw scary ghosts, fog machines, blinky lights, big pumpkins, glue, Harry Potter, skeletons, and all kinds of other stuff. I truely had an awesome halloween. What were you for halloween?

P.S. Who knew the banaster was the perfect height?

In my office chair.

Here I am sitting in my office chair. My mind has been occupied with figuring out where to find the extra time to do things like go to Dave & Busters or Boardriders (bar in Kailua) or spend an afternoon at Starbucks with my wife. Holly is in her last semester and she is bogged down with papers, intership, classes, trolls, job applications, her mom, and all the other fun stuff that comes with it. Whenever we get a moment to do any of these things or even just to snuggle or whatever, I know that she is thinking in the back of her mind (or even the front) about something that she ought to be doing at that particular moment. More and more I am waiting for the moment when we can pack our bags and move to the mainland. And it has nothing to do with Hawaii. Hawaii is a great place. But it is time for us to move on.

So I have been back for almost a week now and Holly and I have not had a “date” yet. We plan on Tuesday night fun night. Which will probably mean a movie. But maybe I can convince her to go somewhere else. Maybe to Starbucks. Who knows. But last night we snuggled on the couch and watched “Dodgeball”. Even though Holly didn’t want to really watch it. But we didn’t have anything else to watch and nothing was on TV. Oh well.

We will have a life

Last time I posted here I was in NY. Now I am in Hawaii and have returned to my normal life. I am at work already being stressed about stupid theatre crap. Last night I went to VJ’s for open mic night. I sucked. I was so tired. I wasn’t really in the mood. Oh well. So my flight was very long. I had a 3 hour lay-over in Chicago. My flights to Chicago and to San Francisco were both over-booked. They were asking for volunteers to give up there seat and fly out 2 hours later. In return they were offering free airline tickets. Sweet. But they were only offering to people whose final destination was San Francisco. That was not me. Oh well. I’ll just have to pay for my tickets to Sues wedding next year. On my flight to San Francisco, there were 5 babies. They were so loud. And two of them were in the row of seats behind me. They were so annoying. So I just put on my headphones, turned up my iPod and picked up my book. Before I knew it, we were only 4 hours away from San Francisco. On the plus side, the trip from SF to Hawaii was almost empty. I had a whole row of seats to myself. After we landed I rushed to the baggage claim to see my awaiting family. There standing was Mary. I saw her waving to Gavin and Holly who were just rushing out of the bathroom. As I reached the bottom of the escalator, I ran in and received a few very big hugs. It was so nice to see them again. It was only 2 weeks, but boy I missed them. Since I have been back, I have so enjoyed my family. Gavin is so awesome to be with. Holly is so beautiful and great to have. She very much enjoyed the leather jacket I bought her (it was a gift I picked up for her). We all enjoyed the banana bread and jelly and pickles that were sent along by my family. We also enjoyed the candy I brought home. Ahh UK candy. So good. And now, like I said, I am back at work. Back to routine. Something that I have made a goal to break out of. We must have some spontaneity. I will not get bogged down with the theatre. I will play more with my band. I will take Holly out on motorcycle rides to D&B just for the hell of it. I will drag Holly to the new bar in Kailua. We will have a life.

Boy how the time here is flying. It is already Thu…

Boy how the time here is flying. It is already Thursday night. My mom will be driving me to the airport on Saturday morning. Monday was nice. I went to dinner with my boss’s from KarateDepot. I sat around the office from 3 to 6 pm chatting and catching up with things and people. That was cool. They handed me a new (free) KD back pack, a wacom table and a Blackbelt magazine with my ad in it. Cool. At 6 pm they drove me down to the city to go to a Kosher restaraunt. It was really good. I had a $10 salad, a $32 steak and a $10 slice of chocolate cake. That was just me. But it was good. I like the city.

Tuesday was a relaxing day. Didn’t do much. Got some laundry done. Went to go see Lorenz’s family who ended up not being home. Tuesday night I went to Mahwah Bar & Grill for pasta night with my dad, grandmother, Sue, Shane, Kammy, cousin Jeff and wife Brandy. Fun night. Lots of laughs. I ate a Creamy Pesto pasta with baby carrots, sun-dried tomatoes, chicken and basil. MMmmm MMmmm.

Wednesday I tried to visit Lorenz’s family again and they still weren’t home. So I went to Bagel Train and picked up a Sausage Egg and Cheese Bagel and a few bakery items because there was a $10 minimum if you pay with your debit card. Then I went to Shoprite to visit Lorenz’s mom. She was so shocked to see me. Excited of course. It was so nice to see her. Hopefully I will get to see the rest of them. Wednesday night I took Kammy up to my moms house and had a nice dinner and relaxed.

I slept the night at my moms house Wednesday night and enjoyed a nice pandcake breakfast with my mom, Kammy and Johnathan. We spent the morning going over tons of pictures of Gavin, Holly and Rob and Stacy’s wedding. Then Kammy and I went into the garage so that I could draw Mickey and Minnie on a large piece of plywood so that my mom can paint and cut them out and post them in her yard for Christmas. Anywho, it was a nice night and morning there. It certainly made my mom happy.

So today is Thursday and I got home from my moms at around 4pm. It has been raining non-stop since my brothers wedding and there is flooding all over the damn place. So I went into my dads basement to see how much of my crap got wet. I was suprised to see that not much had been soaked. I cleaned up a bit and put stuff back nicely. Now I’m about to eat lovely pasta and sauce that my sister cooked up. Afterwards I think I will head down again to try to see Lorenz’s parents house again. They should be all home now.

In the morning I head back to the city to see Lorenz and Shawn. Cool beans.
