Sunday’s activities.

I got to speak with Holly and Gavin briefly yesterday. Holly had to be to work at 11 am. I told her previously that I would call her at around 9/9:30 in the morning (her time). As it turned out, I ended up driving down to the city to see Jeannie yesterday. I didn’t get to call Holly until 10:30 am (her time). Her mom picked up the phone and imediately ran out to the car to get Holly. She had just turned the key to start the car. But she ran in and picked up the phone to talk to me. It was so nice to hear her voice. I do miss her. We chatted for only 5 or so minutes because she had to get to work. *sigh* I should have called earlier. I have been keeping up on her blog entries. For some reason, reading her blog entries seems so dramatic. It makes me worry. With the Xanax and the driving and what not. It kind of scares me. But I know she is fine. Good strong-willed person.

Jeannie, her boyfriend and I walked down to a local Irish restaraunt/bar down the street from her house. I ate a fairly good Sheperd’s Pie and a Guiness. We enjoyed a great evening of sitting and chatting and catching up on each others lives. It was nice. When we were done the waitress brought us the bill and asked us if we would like a complimentary drink on the house. We had no idea why she asked this, but who can turn down a free Guiness? Not me. So we sat a little longer and chatted before leaving and walking across the street where I picked up some good UK chocolate. Flake bar anyone? (Don’t worry Holly. I have some to bring home for you)

So today is KarateDepot day. I am going to visit my boss’s in a few hours. We’ll probably end up going out for dinner and chatting all night. It will be good to see them again.

Until next time….

Almost perfect, but smooth

Phew. What a couple of days? I am back in Rockland after a day at Lake George and a day in Utica. It was a beautiful wedding. We all had a great time. My Highland dancing went almost perfect, but incredibly smooth. Same goes for the wedding. Anyway, I will post some pictures soon. But for now, I’m a bit tired and need to call my beautiful wife (even thought she is probably at work). Then I’m going to call Jeannie and try to get together with her maybe tomorrow. It is going to be a busy week. I’m getting tired just thinking about it. Tootles.

Well, here I am in NY. Holly, Gavin, and Mary drop…

Well, here I am in NY. Holly, Gavin, and Mary dropped me off at the airport after a stressful morning of Holly packing for me, Mary trying to do homework, me re-working an entire ad because the old one was rejected (Holly’s boobs were too big), and Gavin running around trying not to let any of us do what we need to do. None-the-less, we all got done what we needed and headed to the airport in plenty (ha ha) of time. Anyway, lots of hugs and kisses at the airport were exchanged. We explained to Gavin that daddy was going on a plane; going away for two weeks. “Bye dad”, he said. We weren’t sure if he really understood, but he seemed ok with it.

The plane ride was pretty good. I took with me my backpack filled with tiny liquor bottles, “The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide” and my iPod. What else could I need. Oh yeah, some candy. A few hours and a horrible meals later I was in NY getting picked up by my dads friend Jerry. Now Jerry is a funny guy. My dad is even funnier. Later that day I figured out the story of why my dad could not pick me up like he was supposed to. He asked for the day off from work so he could pick me up. But one day prior, he was called up from work and told that they had fired someone and that he had to come in to work because they had no other teacher. So naturally, my dad did what any person would do. He asked the guy who got fired to come pick me up. It’s not like he had to be to work or anything. Ha ha ha. And Jerry agreed. How funny.

So far so good in NY. Within the first few hours of being here, I saw my grandmother, Shane and my mom. A little later I saw my brother as he stopped in to take a look at the boat. Even later (2 pm), I saw my dad, who I picked up from work because I had his car. The evening was spent with my dad, Rob, Sue, and Shane lounging around having silly discussion and watching some TV. I was very tired. I went to sleep around 10 ish.

Now here I am, it’s 7:45 am, getting ready for the day. I will visit Lorenz’s parents, bring some papers and pictures to my Aunt as I visit her, head to Garnerville to visit my Karatedepot bosses and later head to my moms house. Oh yeah, and I have to pick up my dad at 2:30 pm.

As for the rest of the remaining time here, I have to call Jean and get together with her. I am going to Pasta Night on Tuesday with my mom and sister. I am being taken out for “dinner” on Monday by my Karatedepot bosses. Of course tomorrow I am heading up to Lake George for the wedding. From what I understand, this will take up Thursday, Friday and half of Saturday. After all that, I don’t particularly have plans. The rest is all by ear. But I’ll post every once in a while and fill you in. Whoever “you” is. Later.

You’ll Love My Wiener

Ahhhh. Holly was struggling to decide what to spend her modeling money on. She really wanted to buy herself some shoes or clothes that she recently saw that she really wanted. Or should she spend it on something to make the holidays nice. Something christmasy perhaps. All that struggling over it and what does she buy?

She bought me this t-shirt. Although the one she bought was brown. She also bought me a shirt with a skull on it that reads “Midnight Diablo”. They were not expensive shirts. But nice. Thank you Holly.

So it’s been raining like crazy here. *remember the walk to Waikiki?* Today was no different. Rain. I really wanted to ride my motorcycle to work. Fortunately for me it stopped raining about an hour before I had to leave for work and I took my chances. And I was right. It was a beautiful ride. Blue sky even. Now to see what the ride home brings. I shoved a bunch of stuff into a backpack to bring to work. Including $100 in quarters. I almost felt like I was carrying another passenger. Which is cool because I am a little worried about how different it will be carrying another person. The backpack made me feel better. I can’t wait until I can ride Holly around. Tomorrow I am going to Aloha Stadium to see if I can get into the class. It would be the last class for me where I would be tested. If I can’t get into the class then I have to wait until I get back from NY. I hope I can get in tomorrow. That way when I get back from NY, I can immediately ride Holly all over the place. And that would be so sexy. Especially after being apart for two weeks. Oh yeah.

So my mom called me today. Was checking to see how things are going before the flight. My dad will be picking me up from the airport on Tuesday morning. On Thursday (the day of the wedding), I will be riding up to Lake George with my mom. I look forward to that drive. I’ll get to spend 3 hours with her talking about stuff. We haven’t really done that in a while. In talking to her, I got the feeling that she feels like she is being left out. While I’m there, I want to make her feel loved and wanted. I think on Columbus Day we will do something together. She has that whole day off, which is unusual for her. Apparently, much of my family will be at this wedding. My dad’s brother is flying in from Texas. My mom’s brother and sisters will be there. All my grandparents. Other friends of the family that I normally don’t see too often. Of course my parents and my sister. Oh yeah, and my brother. He he. So there will be quite a few people that I haven’t seen in a while. Should be interesting. I hope there is a bar around.

Yesterday, my KarateDepot boss called me to check up on an ad that I was doing for them. I was not home, but he talked to Holly for a bit. He freaked her out. He failed to mention who he was and then proceeded to ask if she was the soon to be famous ad model (Holly was the model for the ad I did). She finally figured out who it was. They were chatting and he asked her if he could have her permission to corrupt me while I was in NY. Without thinking and not really meaning it in the way it sounds, she said, “Well if someone doesn’t, Mike will end up spending too much time with his mom.” His reply was, “Daaaaaaaamn”. He he. Anyway. So my boss is going to corrupt me while I’m visiting. Which sort of scares me, ’cause I can see him and my other boss liquoring me up and hauling me off to a strip club. That might be a little weird. First off, I’m not much of a strip club kind of guy. Second of all, with my bosses? Hmmmm. In college one year, after putting Holly on a plane to Hawaii, before I headed back up to NY, my roommates tried to “cheer” me up by trying to get me to go to “Cheetas”, the local strip club. Florida had many. They thought I was crazy for not wanting to go. Although my roommates in college were all crazy, I don’t regret having any of them. After all, everyone should have a college roommate experience. Its one of those things.

So that is my post for today. Long, but you’ll manage. I know you will.
